“No man is an island.” – John Donne
This is a lesson I need to be reminded of constantly!
In writing.
In engineering.
In life.
This shold be my mantra in my battle with anxiety.
I don’t seek to be alone, yet I isolate myself.
At work, I can go an entire day without talking to another human being. This may be a boon to some engineers, but I find it detrimental. Engineering is collaborative, yet I find myself isolated in my cubicle, afraid to interrupt my coworkers.
I love to write. I want to write more. But I have no sounding board. When I write for my blog, it is riddled with rough edges, as I lack to courage to find someone to help sand the edges.
I am a coward.
