Greetings!
First off, I did not “win” NaNoWriMo. I was only able to get 3420 words of my novel written. Life got in the way, not with Earth-shattering events, but everyday things like cleaning the house and going through things in preparation for both friends visiting and our little bundle of joy. I know I am not the only one to fail to make the 50,000 word goal, but it feels like so many other projects I have undertaken and left half done.
Second, my sister gave me a refurbished Nikon D3300 DSLR camera as a late birthday/early Christmas present. Using a 35mm SLR I bought at Ritz Camera, I took a number of photography classes at community college, including an independent study of pinhole photography. However, without access to a darkroom, and the advent of digital photography, I have been relegated to using my smartphone to take pictures. It works in a pinch, but I missed the feel and control my old SLR camera gave me. With my new camera, I am looking to awaken my long dormant love for photography. In weeks to come, I may post some new photos, as well as some from my college days.
Lastly, I have a question for experienced bloggers: should I keep my backlog of poems in my blog, or should I make individual pages for them?
Season’s Greetings.
